Linda A. Giesen concentrates her practice in estate planning, business law, real estate, and mediation.
Ms. Giesen graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois in 1973, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She then attended Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1974, where she received her Master of Science, Criminology. In 1991, Ms. Giesen received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa.
Ms. Giesen worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections from 1975 to 1986, as Warden of the Dwight Correctional Center and Warden of the Dixon Correctional Center. She was the Lee County State's Attorney from 2000 to 2004. Ms. Giesen became a partner of Dixon and Giesen in 1996, and she joined Ehrmann Gehlbach Badger & Considine, LLC, as a partner, in June 2022 and transitioned to Of Counsel in, January 2023.
Ms. Giesen is an ISBA Mediator/Arbitrator. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois and the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Giesen is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lee County Bar Association, and the Ogle County Bar Association. She served as President of the Lee County Bar Association from 2019 to 2022. She is also a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Dixon, Illinois.
